My experience introduced me to troubleshooting a software that I had never used before and it helped me gain an insight to a different software for 3D modeling specifically buildings rather than the programs that I am used to. I have multiple items that I want to 3D model in the future but now I utilize multiple programs to 3D model (such as Fusion360 and Blender) as each software has their own strengths and weaknesses, as evidenced by how specialized software can be. I also became more aware of how much work goes into modeling a building. With the plans drawn up right in front of me I still stumbled around a lot. This project helped me feel a bit more settled with my choice and has renewed my interest in buildings and building design. For that, as well as the fact that I was able to work with my dad who I usually don't get to spend time with, this was a very meaningful experience for me. It helped me gain experience with software that is used professionally to model buildings. If I were to start over, I would manage my time a bit better rather than work in chunks and take large breaks as well as communicate more with my dad on a schedule because once the summer hit, a lot of his weekends were spent dealing with my little brother and his baseball team. I also might have attempted to change my project after I submitted the proposal as two other opportunities appeared afterwards that would've been much simpler and I could've finished my capstone earlier but still model the house with no 'due date' in mind. Although, I am ultimately satisfied with my choice for my capstone.
